AHRI Discuss Industry Concerns in Washington
In the spring of 2012, several members of the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) went to Washington, D.C. to meet with members of Congress in a Public Policy Symposium. Members of AHRI are concerned with lack of federal energy regulation, energy efficiency bills that are currently before Congress, stalling by Congress on important energy problems and related issues.
Local Hampton Roads Dealer in Hampton Roads, Virginia, follow industry news and AHRI concerns in local and national air conditioner reviews. If you regularly read air conditioner reviews, you may have some of the same concerns as AHRI. We also share the same concerns about the heating and cooling industry, which is why we were pleased to hear about some of the progress AHRI made before Congress.
According to air conditioner reviews, the first item up for discussion was the Home Owner Managing Energy Savings (HOMES) Act of 2012. The HOMES Act offers rebates to homeowners who increase their energy efficiency after receiving a home energy efficiency retrofit from a professional organization like your local Hampton Roads Dealer. Homeowners who reduce their energy consumption by 50 percent may be entitled to receive a rebate of up to $8,000.
Our company stands behind the HOMES Act because it encourages all homeowners to consider their contribution to energy and environmental problems. If you have been studying air conditioner reviews in an effort to make your home more energy efficient, your local dealer is here to help. A local dealer can send a qualified energy auditor to your home to make suggestions on ways you can change the way you use energy. Once the changes have been implemented, you may be able to take advantage of the rebate available to you under the HOMES Act.
Another potential bill you may have read about in air conditioner reviews is the Smart Energy Act. This bill looks to double the production of electricity by 2020 through the use of heat, power and heat waste recovery. The proposed methods are a viable source of reducing energy consumption that local Hampton Roads Dealers would like to see implemented. To locate a Hampton Roads Dealer near you, click here.
